Throughout Life People Come and Go...

As many of you know there are many people that come into your life and leave at some point. Life is always changing, some for the good and some for the bad. Over the past 40+ years I have had many people that came into my life who I have lost touch with. One dear friend left me less than two months after meeting him (undiagnosed heart condition) and another after a little over 6 months (RIP Chris). I have been fortunate that I have 5 friends that have reached or will reach the 10 year mark. To those 5 THANK YOU for being there.

At this time in my life there are 4 people that stand out as true friends, ones that I have gone the extra mile when I was (or in one case am in) a low point in my life. I wish to take a moment and talk a little about each of them.

The first up and longest friendship of the four is my friend Jason. I met Jason back in 2003 when we were members of a gay Yahoo Group. We eventually became friends and would chat on Yahoo IM. Soon we became phone friends where we would chat in the morning. I would be heading home from work and he would be heading to work. Then we started talking on the phone after he was off work. We still do this though the mornings not as much due to my work schedule.

For someone that is only 25, he is very wise young man. His advice is very thoughtful and if I had only listened to him, my life would be better right now. He is currently helping me to repair a part of my life that I honestly say I fucked up on. Again I should have listened to him. I hope he is successful in his endeavor.

Jason also was the friend who named my blog "Rantings of a Raving Romulan". Thank you Jason. I think you know me TOO WELL. Giggle.

Jason is lucky to have a wonderful young man in his life. Jordi and Jason have been together for a few years now and they are a cute couple. I owe Jordi a belated birthday as Jason never mentioned that it was on the first of this month. JORDI HAPPY BELATED 21ST BIRTHDAY.

We have not met in person but I hope to rectify that this coming November when a friend of mine who is also part of this post will be in Los Angeles on Nov 4th and 5th. My plan is to be there so that I can meet both of them. I am also hoping that another of the guys I will mention in this post can come up from San Diego to join us.

Surprise Phone Call

A little after 6pm on Sunday night I had a very pleasant surprise. The phone rang and it was my friend DeWayne from San Diego. The surprise is that he turned the phone over to Brent Everett. I was in shock. If only Brent and DeWayne could have seen my facial expressions. It was a brief and pleasant chat. I recognized his voice right away. :) If you click DeWayne's name above you will visit his blog where he talks about the event he and Brent were at together.

As for the picture above, DeWayne states that he was doing it as a dare. UNTIL I have sworn and notarized statements to that fact, I will believe DeWayne acted of his own volition. The ball is now in your court DeWayne. LOL.

This is not the first time that DeWayne has done this to me. Back in 2007, DeWayne shared the phone with Brent Corrigan and then boyfriend Grant. Again the look on my face was a stunned one.

torath69.com network

I do not know if anyone has noticed, but on the banner for the blog it mentions that the blog is part of the torath69.com network. Today I thought that I would mention what all is part of that network.

The origin of the name actually comes from my friend and guest contributor to his site, Sam McGinn. I had asked for a banner for the blog and he made the one that you see. As soon as I saw the torath69.com network I was very happy. I wish to thank Sam for the excellent banner and the creation of the network. THANK YOU SAM!

The torath69.com network consists of this blog, my personal website torath69.com, two websites that I own and maintain: AlanCapier.com and TantillasWorld.com. Both these sites are for friends of mine that I met back in 2007. Alan has been featured on this blog as recently as this week. He is a pornstar working out of Prague, Czech Republic. TanillasWorld is for my friend Tantilla from Poland. He has been a very dear friend to me and when he had gone to Hustlaball Berlin in 07, he took many pictures. Well to share them with friends I created TantillasWorld. I will be updating both of these sites in the next few days.

Another site loosely associated with the torath69.com network is DeWayneinSD.com. I have assisted DeWayne in the early stages of developing his site. I highly recommend it.

TODAY IS THE DAY

In stores across the country, Unzipped Magazine will release the May issue featuring Portland OR Mayor Sam Adams's Boy Toy Beau Breedlove. My friend DeWayne is getting me copies. I will feature the pics from the magazine as soon as I can.
